Netballer Sarah Long, who goes to school in Street, has been selected to take part in the Netball Europe Open Tournament in November.
Fifteen-year-old Sarah joined Millfield School in Street as a boarder in Year 9 two years ago and is a committed member of Millfield Netball having featured in the U14A and U15A squads, as well as vice-captaining the U16A team during her time at the school.

Suspension changes helped Street motorbike racer Damon Smith to a strong result at Oulton Park recently.
Last weekend saw the penultimate round of the 2021 NG Road Racing championships after a busy week for Damon of returning to UK from a family holiday on Wednesday, returning to work on Thursday and leaving for Oulton Park circuit in Cheshire Thursday evening, arriving at the circuit in the early hours.

Team GB swimmer and former Millfield School, Street, student James Guy returned to a hero's welcome at Heathrow Airport this week following an impressive Olympic Games which saw him claim two gold medals and a silver in the pool.
The 25-year-old won double Olympic gold in the men's 4x200m freestyle relay and the 4x100m mixed medley relay and won silver in the men's 4x100m medley.

Ex-Millfield School, in Street, athlete Jazmin Sawyers said she was disappointed after finishing eighth in the Tokyo Olympics 2021 women's long jump final.
The 27-year-old had a best distance of 6.8m in the final this morning (August 3), which was won by Germany's Malaika Mihambo.

Swimmer James Guy, who is a former student at Millfield School in Street, has rounded off a brilliant Tokyo Olympics 2021 for him, as he claimed silver in the 4x100m medley relay this morning (August 1).
The team of Luke Greenbank, Adam Peaty, James Guy and Duncan Scott broke the European record on their way to silver, with only the USA, in a world record, in front of them.
