A martial arts academy in Street has received an award for its high standards of teaching, and is now looking forward to restarting once Covid restrictions are lifted.
Gracie Barra Street Martial Arts Academy is run by head instructor Rich Weatherall, and last week his academy was awarded Premium School status in recognition of the extremely high standards of facilities, leadership and training.
Gracie Barra is one of the largest, most successful martial arts organisations in the world, with more than 800 schools worldwide.
Paula Squibbs, from the Street academy, told Street Nub News: "Only a small percentage are awarded Premium School status, which now puts Street firmly on the map.
"From April 12 we will be restarting all our classes in Brazilian jiujitsu, boxing, Thai boxing and Mixed Martial Arts.
"Contact us now to arrange a free trial and join our strong team."
