From this week, there will be a month of temporary traffic lights at the crossroads where Merriman Road, Silver Road and Oriel Road meet in Street.

The multi-way lights will be in place from Monday March 2 until April 3 to enable Wales and West Utilities to replace a metallic gas main with a plastic one.

Other roadworks in Street this week include:

Hindhayes Lane is scheduled to be closed until March 13 so Wales and West Utilities can carry out gas mains upgrade work.

The temporary traffic lights in West End so Bristol Water can repair a burst main are scheduled to be removed by the end of Monday.

From Monday to Wednesday March 4, Bristol Water will be installing a talbot box and meter in the High Street.

Bristol Water will also be replacing stoptaps in Poplar Road from Monday to Wednesday, in Ivythorn Road from Wednesday to Friday March 6, and in Chichester Road from Thursday March 5 to March 9.

Similar work by Bristol Water is also scheduled to be completed by the end of Monday in Burleigh Lane.

Work to install a new supply by Bristol Water in Park Close is scheduled to be finished by the end of Tuesday March 3.

Finally, Western Power Distribution's work to locate and repair a streetlight cable fault in Isaacs Close should be completed by Friday.
