Street roadworks for week commencing January 27
Hindhayes Lane in Street is set to close for almost 50 days from next week so Wales and West Utilities can upgrade a gas main.
The road closure notice comes into effect on Monday January 27, and it covers the entire length of the road from the junction with the B3151 Somerton Road to the junction with Leigh Road.
The works are expected to last for 47 days, with the closure notice in place for 18 months, or until the works are completed.
Also next week, there will be temporary traffic lights on the A39 Main Street in Walton from Monday to Wednesday January 29, to enable Bristol Water to install a talbot box and meter.

The multi-way temporary traffic lights at the junction of the High Street and Leigh Road are scheduled to remain in place until February 7, so Wales and West Utilities can replace a metallic gas main with a plastic one.
Bristol Water will be repairing a leak in Gooselade from Monday to Wednesday, and in Middle Leigh from Tuesday January 28 to Thursday January 30.
From Friday January 31 to February 4, a streetlight will be replaced on the B3151 Somerton Road.
From Friday to February 5, Wales and West Utilities will be fitting a new connection in Portland Road.
On Monday, the Wales and West Utilities work at the junction of Portway and Housman Road should be completed.
Also finishing by Monday should be Bristol Water's works to repair leaks in Stone Hill and Glanvill Road.
Bristol Water's work to install talbot boxes and meters in Orchard Road and Pearmain Road is scheduled to be completed by Tuesday.
The firm should also finish its work to repair leaks in Fowen Close and Green Lane Avenue on Tuesday.
Finally, Bristol Water's work to install a new supply in Brooks Road should also be done by the end of Tuesday.
