A new school in Ashcott that specialises in dyslexia has seen some of its students receive GCSE English grades for the first time.

The Levels School is an independent specialist day school offering education and pastoral care to students with dyslexia and other similar learning differences, and this year has seen its first complete school year.

Founder Bradley Middleton said: "We are extremely proud of our Year 11 students that received their GCSE English results today (August 12).

"As a new provision, with the support of Taunton School International, we were able to enter six students for their GCSE English this year. These are a first set of results for the Levels School.

"Supported by our English team, Miss Russell and Miss Lynch, these students worked tirelessly through the last five months on assessments to make up time missed in school through Year 10. The results they have today are testament to those efforts and their resilience."
