Millfield School in Street is offering 192 free holiday course places to children eligible for the free school meals scheme.
The independent school has been granted funding from a new scheme aimed at making free places available for summer holiday courses for the equivalent of at least four hours a day on four days a week.
The government have made £220 million available to local authorities to enable free holiday provisions, including healthy food and exciting activities.
The motivation stemmed from reports that families face significant pressure to juggle looking after their children and healthy eating.
Millfield Enterprises, who operate Millfield's holiday courses, have been granted some of the 8,000 places that have been offered across Somerset.
Director of Millfield Enterprises, Holly Angelinetta, said: "Holiday Activities and Food Programme 2021 is an incredible scheme that ensures inclusion for all.
"Seeing some of our amazing summer activity courses available to all children within our community sits hand in hand with Millfield's own philosophies of philanthropy, with young people's happiness at the heart of everything we do."
Millfield Holiday Courses welcome children to come together for a mix of fun, laughter and new experiences.
Children offered a place will have the option to choose multi activities, football or athletics depending on their most favoured sport and the coaches will focus on team building, learning new skills and, of course, making friends.
In addition to the sporting activities and coaching, a free full meal will be on offer to all children.
