Machinery company seeking approval that its existing developments near Lydford-on-Fosse are lawful

A machinery firm has applied for planning permission to make sure its existing developments near Lydford-on-Fosse are lawful.

A planning application for a certificate of lawful existing development for access, workshop building and hardstanding area at Ash View Farm, Fosse Way, near Lydford-on-Fosse, has been submitted to Mendip District Council by Ashley Beaton.

Mr Beaton runs AM Beaton Ltd, and he has applied to the council to make sure the developments at the farm are classed as general industrial use.

One other planning application in the Street area has been submitted this week:

Retrospective allocation of car parking space to 8A Park Close at 8A Park Close, Street, has been applied for by Mr Alan Purnell.

Planning applications in the Street area that have been decided this week include:

Erection of first floor side extension, two storey extension to the rear, and extension of the garage at 24 Holm Oaks, Butleigh, by Mrs A Murphy has been approved.

Proposed works to tree/s in a Conservation Area: T1 (crab apple) - fell, T2 (ornamental cherry) - thin branches (up to 10 per cent) and prune (up to 2m), T3 (silver birch) - prune (up to approximately 4m) at Carrick, High Street, Butleigh, have been approved.

Application for a non-material amendment to permission 2019/1802/FUL for the erection of dwelling at 1 Housman Road, Street, by Mr M Gill has been approved.

Replacement of five sash windows and lean-to porch to the front (south) elevation, replacement wooden windows to match existing nine and 12 pane box sash windows at Church Farm House, Taunton Road, Greinton, by Mr Williams has been approved.
