Hundreds of packages containing tasty treats have been delivered to vulnerable and elderly residents in Street to mark National Doughnut Day.

Friday (June 5) was a busy day for Street Community Support Group's volunteers, who were packing and delivering the tasty treats.

The packages, which each contained a doughnut and a slice of tea cake, were given to 600 elderly and vulnerable members of Street's community for National Doughnut Day.

The group was celebrating the work of the Doughnut Dollies, who were volunteers from the Salvation Army, preparing fresh doughnuts for those fighting on the front line during the First World War.

Pictured here are 10 pictures that sum up the fantastic efforts of the Street Community Support Group on the day.
