Two barns in Butleigh are set to be converted into homes after plans submitted to Mendip District Council were given the go-ahead.
Two planning applications for prior approval for a proposed change of use of agricultural buildings to a dwellinghouse (Class C3) and for associated operational development at Reservoir Barns, Reynald's Way, Butleigh, were submitted by Angus MacDonald.
The barns are part of a four-barn complex near to Longroves Reservoir and, now the plans have been approved, one barn can be demolished while one other can be converted into a five-bedroom home and another into a three-bedroom home.
