A39 closed at Loxley Wood while dangerous tree is removed

The A39 is closed this evening (March 30) through Loxley Wood so a dangerous tree can be removed.

The emergency road closure near Shapwick started at 6pm and is expected to last for a few hours, while a dangerous roadside tree is chopped down.

A diversion is in place via the A378 through Westonzoyland and the A361 through Othery, though heavy traffic is expected and motorists are being advised to find an alternative route.
