Seven-year-old from Street raises money for children's hospice by making reindeer faces

Cara-Jane from Street has been busy in the run-up to the festive season.

The seven-year old has been making cute reindeer faces from wood and fabric, and selling them to friends and family in support of Children's Hospice South West (CHSW).

Mum, Victoria Lamb, said: "Cara-Jane made the reindeer and sold them for £1 each.

"She wanted to donate the £36 she raised to CHSW as her friend uses the local children's hospice. We hope the money can help a little in this tricky year."

The local children's hospice is CHSW's Charlton Farm, located in Wraxall, North Somerset. It currently supports more than 220 families from across Somerset, Bath and Bristol whose children have a life-limiting or life-threatening condition.

Kylie Gallagher, a fundraiser at CHSW, said: "It's been an extremely challenging year for the charity and it's absolutely heart-warming to see young members of the community raising funds for us in a really creative way.

"We like to send our thanks to Cara-Jane for thinking of Charlton Farm this Christmas."
