A site in Compton Dundon that has permission for eight homes to be built is up for sale.

The site at Home Farm, Compton Street, has detailed planning permission to build a range of eight open market homes.

The planning permission granted by South Somerset District Council in December 2019 allows for two two-bedroom properties, a three-bedroom home and five four-bedroom dwellings. They will consist of a mix of semi-detached, detached linked and detached properties.

The site is located on the eastern edge of the village and extends to 1.56 acres or 0.63 hectares. It comprises a farmyard with a range of traditional and modern agricultural buildings.

The seller will demolish the existing farm buildings between the date of exchange of contracts and the completion date of the sale of the site.

The existing farmhouse, annexe and Plot 2 are being retained by the vendor and are excluded from the sale, which is being handled by Greenslade Taylor Hunt.

The deadline for the submission of offers is noon on Friday, November 6.

A viewing date has been arranged, by appointment only, and will take place tomorrow (October 21) between 9am and 11am.
