Our property section is full of great homes in the Street area.

Here is our top pick for the week:

Three-bedroom country cottage, with stunning views, in Holcombe Lane, Moorlinch, offered for sale by Roderick Thomas Estate Agents.

This is an enchanting country cottage with wonderful views and a quiet, peaceful rural setting on the edge of the Polden Hills.

This wonderful cottage has been extensively improved and includes a sitting room, study (or fourth bedroom), kitchen, utility room, bathroom and three bedrooms.

Outside is a parking area and a beautifully landscaped garden with lots of privacy and great views.

Of particular note and advantage are the networks of miles of footpaths through the surrounding countryside and which can be accessed within a stone's throw of the cottage.

Apple Blossom Cottage sits comfortably in a sheltered position on the hillside just above Moorlinch.

The property is approached from a very quiet, no-through country lane which serves just five houses.

The cottage stands adjacent to the lane that becomes a rough track leading to one other house and fields.

Apple Blossom Cottage is a pretty building with rendered and painted elevations under a tiled roof and occupies a gently elevated position. Internally it's quite stunning having recently been extensively renovated and improved.

The floors are either porcelain tiled or carpeted and most of the lighting is downlights and wall lights.

The kitchen, utility room and bathroom are finished and fitted to an excellent standard, and the sitting room is very comfortable and retains period details.

On the first floor several gently vaulted ceilings are retained with tongue and grooved panelling. These details are then complemented by double glazing and oil central heating.

Like many country properties, the main entrance is into the kitchen and in this case through a stable door.

The kitchen is well equipped with units and appliances including an induction hob, oven, fridge and dishwasher.

There's also an understairs cupboard and space for a dining table and chairs. The adjacent utility room has further units, a freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Also there's a loft for storage and a door into a luxurious bathroom. Here, there is a basin, WC and a roll-top cast iron bath with an independent shower.

At the other end of the kitchen door leads into the sitting room which has ceiling beams and a fireplace with a slate surround (the timber mantle is excluded for personal sentimental reasons).

Beyond this room is a study or snug which is currently used as an additional fourth bedroom and has another stable door to the garden.

On the first floor are three bedrooms and the main one has French doors and a Juliet balcony. A great feature are French doors opening from the landing onto a bridge onto the garden and slate steps leading to a terrace.

In front of the cottage is a neat, recently planted box hedge. To the left hand side of the cottage is a lean-to store and beyond is a lawned garden, sheltered and screened with hedges on each side.

On the right hand side of the cottage is a lawned area with willow hurdles screening the oil tank and again tall hedges. On the other side of the end hedge is a parking area with space for several cars.

Discreetly hidden behind the house is a secret garden with lawns and several terraces linked by pathways and steps bounded wrought iron railings.

There are both sunny and shaded terraces, and fabulous views. This garden really is breath-taking.
