Clarks Village in Street is welcoming fans of Marvel and DC Comics to join in the fun with its action-packed Summer Hero Quest.

Guests can snap their very own superhero-selfies as Clarks Village launches its Summer Hero Quest, unveiling its new augmented reality (AR) trail alongside a variety of life-sized statues of renowned comic book favourites.

The event, which will take place between Friday (July 23) and 31 August will feature an AR trail of 15 superheroes.

Guests can download a free app that will help them bring the superheroes into "frame" for the perfect selfie.

Looking for an adventure? Then why not explore Clarks Village to find all 15 artefact markers, or you can get some hints by looking at the trail map on the Clarks Village website?

Once you've found each of the markers you can scan the QR code via the app to reveal your superhero which can then be scaled up or down on your phone to create fun photos of your friends and family, as well as those selfies.

Uploading your photos to Instagram using #herocv will enter you into the competition. Check the Clarks Village website for details.

As an added bonus, Clarks Village will also be hosting a variety of superhero sculptures that will be available for a limited time on specific weekends.

The sculptures will alternate each week with characters such as the Hulk, Spiderman, Iron Man, Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman, among others.

Chris Davis, centre director at Clarks Village, said: "We are thrilled to introduce the Hero Quest at Clarks Village this summer.

"We know our guests will have a fantastic time, snapping and sharing pictures with the heroes, good luck to everyone who enters the competition."

The augmented reality trail will be featured across the outlet from July 23 to August 31, with the superhero statues available for the first four weekends of the event.
