Street is normally bustling with shoppers during January, who flock to the village for the January sales and independent stores.
Not this year. Due to the coronavirus Tier 4 restrictions, the streets stand empty and the shops are closed as the public obey the rules about staying at home.
These six striking photos were taken by Hazel Bevan and show the village eerily deserted with shop doors closed and car parks empty.
One of the biggest attractions is, of course, Clarks Village outlet shopping centre, which has had to close the majority of its stores.
However, five shops remain open as they are exempt from shutting under the Tier 4 rules. The only store to open as essential retail is Holland and Barrett, which is staying open from Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm, and on Sundays from 11am to 5pm.
Click and collect services are available from Le Creuset, Next and Vodafone with the latter two confirming their opening hours being Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm, and Sundays from 11am to 5pm.
Also, takeaway is available from Costa Coffee, which is following the same opening hours as Next and Vodafone.
In Tier 4, people cannot meet indoors with anyone outside their household or support bubble. However, they may socialise in public outdoor spaces with their household, support or childcare bubble, or with one other person.
