Street roadworks for week commencing March 16

Overleigh in Street is set to be closed for three days this week for roadworks.

The road will be closed from Tuesday March 17 to Thursday March 19 between the junctions with Green Lane and Glanvill Road.

It is being closed to enable Bristol Water to carry out new connection works.

Other roadworks in Street this week include:

Temporary traffic lights are still scheduled to be used until early April at the junction of Silver Road, Merriman Road and Oriel Road for Wales and West Utilities to replace a metallic gas main with a plastic one.

The temporary traffic lights at the junction of Elmhurst Lane and Hindhayes Lane are due to remain in place until March 20 for Wales and West Utilities to replace a metal main with a plastic one.

From Monday March 16 to Wednesday March 18, there will be temporary traffic lights in Cranhill Road so Bristol Water can replace a leaking service main.

From Monday until March 24, Western Power Distribution will be working on a cable diversion in Park Close.

Bristol Water will be fixing a leak in Hindhayes Lane from Monday to Wednesday, and undertaking similar work in Ivythorn Road from Tuesday to Thursday.

From Thursday to March 23, BT will be disconnecting and removing kiosks in The Cross, Portland Road and Green Lane Avenue.

On Monday, Bristol Water's work to fix a leak in Chichester Road should be completed.

Finally, the Wales and West Utilities work to lay a new service in Portland Road should be finished by the end of Tuesday.
