Three weeks of temporary traffic lights for roadworks in Walton are planned to start this week.

The lights are scheduled to be used in Mildred Road from Monday (October 5) through to October 23.

They are set to be in place to enable Somerset Highways to provide a new storm drain, which will be built in four phases at 40 metres per phase.

Other roadworks in the Street area that are scheduled to take place this week include:

On Monday, Bristol Water's works in Street to repair leaks in Green Lane Avenue, Fielding Road and Strawberry Hill are due to be completed.

Tuesday (October 6) should see the completion of the Wales and West Utilities work in West End, Street, to repair a gas leak.

On Monday, temporary traffic lights are planned on the A39 at Loxley Woods, Shapwick, so Somerset Highways can undertake signage works.

From Wednesday (October 7) to Saturday (October 10), temporary traffic lights are scheduled on Broadway in Chilton Polden to enable BT to clear a blockage.

Also in Chilton Polden, the Gas Transportation Company is planning works in Hayne Walk from Monday to Wednesday.

Finally, from Monday to Saturday Somerset Highways are due to be working on a manhole connection in Langland Lane, Catcott.
