Temporary traffic lights are planned for roadworks at a busy crossroads in Street this week.

The multi-way lights are scheduled to be used at the crossroads where the B3151 Somerton Road meets Butleigh Road and Elmhurst Lane from Wednesday (October 28) to Friday (October 30).

They are set to be in place to enable BT to install poly ducts in the area.

Other roadworks in the Street area that are planned for this week include:

Multi-way temporary traffic lights are due to be used from 6.30pm on Monday (October 26) at the junction of the A39 Westway and Couture Grove, in Street, for Somerset Highways works.

In Walton, the temporary traffic lights in Mildred Road for a new storm drain to be built are now due to be in place until Friday (October 30).

On Monday and Tuesday (October 27) Somerset Highways are scheduled to be replacing a streetlight on the Street Roundabout, where the A39 meets Glaston Road.

Finally, the month-long scaffolding permit at 30 Glaston Road, Street, is set to run out on Monday.
