Street area roadworks for week commencing October 19

Temporary traffic lights are planned to be used on the A39 through Walton for roadworks next week.

The lights are scheduled to be used on Monday (October 19) and Tuesday (October 20) near to the Royal Oak on Main Street.

They are set to be in place to enable Somerset Highways to replace a manhole cover in the road.

Also on the A39 Main Street next week, Somerset Highways are scheduled to be undertaking jetting works on Wednesday (October 21).

Elsewhere in Walton, the temporary traffic lights in Mildred Road for a new storm drain to be built are due to be in place until Friday (October 23).

Other roadworks in the Street area that are scheduled to take place next week include:

From Monday to Thursday (October 22) Wales and West Utilities are set to be laying a new gas service on the B3151 Somerton Road in Street.

The temporary traffic lights on the B3151 Street Road in Compton Dundon for Wessex Water to connect a new development to the existing mains are due to remain in place until Tuesday.

Finally, on Sunday (October 25) BT is scheduled to be clearing a blockage in Compton Street, Compton Dundon.
