Street area roadworks for week commencing October 12

Multi-way temporary traffic lights are planned at the busy Pipers Inn junction in Ashcott next week.

Four-way lights are scheduled to be used at the junction on the A39 between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Monday (October 12).

The lights are set to be used to enable Somerset Highways to undertake jetting works. Similar work is also due to be done at the same time and day, under multi-way lights at the junction of the A39 Bath Road and Middle Street in Ashcott.

Other roadworks in the Street area that are scheduled to take place next week include:

Bramble Hill, in Walton, is set to be closed between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Monday, to enable Sunbelt Rentals to carry out cabling works on behalf of BT Openreach.

The temporary traffic lights in Mildred Road, Walton, for a new storm drain to be constructed are due to remain in place until October 23.

From Monday to Thursday (October 15) Wales and West Utilities are scheduled to be laying a new service in Park Close, Street.

On Monday and Tuesday (October 13) Bristol Water is set to be repairing a defective reinstatement in Green Lane Avenue, Street.

Finally, Bristol Water's work on a new supply in Long Lane, Walton, is due to be completed on Tuesday.
