Police working to establish identity of man found dead near Ashcott

Avon and Somerset Police are working on identifying a man who has been found dead near Ashcott.

A body was discovered by a member of the public at the end of last week, and now police investigations are establishing who the person was.

A police spokesperson said: "We were called shortly before 5pm on Friday October 9 to the sudden death of an unknown male near Ashcott.

"The circumstances are not believed to be suspicious.

"Enquiries to establish the identity of the deceased continue."
