Plans to convert a barn that made up part of the former Shapwick Estate Timberyard have been withdrawn.
A planning application for the change of use and conversion of existing outbuilding/barn into a granny annexe at 4 Timberyard, Shapwick, had been submitted by Mr and Mrs Higgs to Sedgemoor District Council.
The design was to be for a two-bedroom annexe, and the original structure and character of the barn was to be retained with the applicants happy to include a condition that the conversion was to remain as a granny annexe and as auxiliary accommodation, but the plans have now been withdrawn.
One planning application in the Street area has been submitted this week:
Erection of a single storey rear (west) extension, proposed new bay window on the side (north) elevation, with the addition of two skylights; also, the conversion of garage to form a utility room and store at The Old Pound, Church Road, Edington, have been applied for by Mr and Mrs Tolchard.
Planning applications in the Street area that have been decided this week include:
Application for a proposed lawful development certificate for creation of a hard standing and bin store with dropped kerbs at Northleaze House, Farm Road, Street, by Mr Stephen Pittman has been approved.
Alterations to existing access at Targyle, Holywell Road, Edington, by Miss Lawrence have been approved.
