Peggy's diner back in Street after five years

By Tim Lethaby 16th Jul 2021

Peggy's Diner is back in Street after having to close five years ago.

Mother and daughter team Sally Kingston and Lucy Randall have opened their cafe in the Bayliss Centre in Street, five years after they had to shut their previous venture Peggy's.

Lucy said: "Five years ago we owned the cafe in the High Street called Peggy's, it was unfortunately bought out by Wetherspoons.

"The locals were outraged and upon speaking to a lot of our old regulars about the new opening of it, they were ecstatic.

"We are recognised by the Celiac Society online and we also offer delivery to all local businesses including Clarks Village.

"We specialise in gluten free, vegetarian and vegan but we have an amazing menu for anyone who doesn't require an alternative."

The menus are colour-coded at Peggy's Diner to make the choice nice and clear, with green menu for vegan food and drink, and an orange menu for everything else.

Their site in the Bayliss Centre was previously Milk, No Sugar, and the duo have renovated it throughout to a 1960s theme.

Peggy's Diner is open from Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm.
