New mass coronavirus centres to open and Street residents may be invited to Taunton Racecourse

One of the new coronavirus mass vaccinations centres due to be announced tomorrow (January 18) is expected to be Taunton Racecourse.
And if the rules revealed in the media are correct, residents of Street may be eligible to attend.
The ten centres, which include a cathedral and a rugby ground, will be in addition to the seven currently operating, which include Bristol's football ground, Ashton Gate.
According to reports anyone within a 45 minute drive of the new centres could be invited to go their for their vaccine.
On Saturday the government announced that 324,233 vaccine doses have been already delivered, although a proportion of these are said to include second doses.. The total vaccines given in the UK is now above 3.5 million.
The government has promised all those over 70, the extremely clinically vulnerable, and frontline health and care workers will have a vaccination by mid-February.
For Street residents invited to Taunton Racecourse the drive is about 40 minutes.

-Bournemouth International Centre, Dorset
- Taunton Racecourse- Blackburn Cathedral, Lancashire
- Salt Hill Activity Centre, Berkshire- Norwich Food Court, Norfolk
-The Lodge in Wickford, Essex- Princess Royal Sports Arena, Lincolnshire
- St Helens Rugby Ground, Merseyside- The park-and-ride at Askham Bar, York
- Olympic Office Centre in Wembley
