A man has been spoken to by police after emergency services were called to Gravenchon Way in Street this morning (September 7).

Avon and Somerset Police have described the incident as appearing to be a false alarm with good intent.

A spokesperson said: "Emergency services attended Gravenchon Way, Street, at around 11am today after receiving reports a man was believed to have been inside a vehicle with large quantities of household bleach since yesterday morning.

"The man has since been spoken to by officers at his home address and allayed any concerns for his welfare."
