The goat was rescued from a ditch along Street Drove

A goat was successfully rescued by firefighters from a water-filled ditch in Street last night (September 9).

Just after 7.30pm, one fire appliance from Street was sent to assess a report of a goat stuck in a rhyne at Street Drove.

On arrival crews confirmed that the goat was stuck in the ditch. The animal was rescued using lines and returned to the field.
