Four students at Millfield School in Street have received offers to study at two of the world's most prestigious universities.
Upper Sixth student Emily Paterson from Somerset has received an offer to study Medicine at Oxford University.
Upper Sixth students Connor Collins from Somerset, Yuhka Machino from Japan and Lily De Lacy from Chichester have received offers from Cambridge University to study Human, Social and Political Sciences (HSPS), Mathematics and History, respectively.
At Millfield, the Oxbridge preparation programme is overseen by head of academic extension, Dr Abbie Pringle, who has both an MSc in Neuroscience and DPhil in Psychology from Oxford University.
Students take part in an array of extra-curricular activities including clubs, seminars and hearing from and questioning external speakers, as well as a mentoring programme.
Students are encouraged to and regularly participate in academic competitions including Olympiads and University Essay Competitions, activities which help to build the type of academic CV sought after by competitive universities.
Millfield students also have access to an extensive network of former Millfield students who are currently studying at Oxford or Cambridge.
The Old Millfieldian Society also helps students to facilitate appropriate work and research experience to support their applications.
Millfield headmaster Gavin Horgan said: "I am absolutely delighted for Emily, Connor, Yuhka and Lily, who are not only are incredibly talented academics, but they are also well-rounded athletes, musicians and artists.
"Millfield seeks to discover the brilliance in every student, and it is wonderful to see that students with such diverse abilities can flourish and thrive here. I hope these offers inspire others at Millfield to achieve their academic dreams."
