An electrical fault is believed to have caused a car fire in Walton yesterday (December 28).

At about 3.50pm yesterday, Devon and Somerset Fire Control received a call to a car fire at Chancellor Close in Walton.

A fire engine from Street attended and on arrival the crew confirmed that there was a fire in the dashboard and engine bay of the car.

Crews used one hose reel jet, a thermal image camera and small tools to fully extinguish the fire and provided advice to the owner.
