Bid to keep travellers' pitches in Butleigh

A retrospective planning application has been submitted to keep two travellers' pitches in Butleigh.

An application for the creation of two travellers' pitches, comprising of two static caravans (retrospective) on land north east of Mendip View, Wood Lane, Butleigh, has been submitted by Mr Joe Taylor.

Also submitted this week has been an application for the change of use from barn to holiday let - Dwelling Class Use (C3) at Fosse House Farm, Fosse Way, Lydford-on-Fosse, by Mr Michael Green.

Planning applications in the Street area that have been decided by Mendip District Council this week include:

Proposed single storey rear extension and first floor extension over garage at 69 Brooks Road, Street, by Mrs A Evans has been approved.

Two storey rear extension, single storey side extension, internal alterations, new double garage with home office above, relocation of access at 59 Overleigh, Street, by Mr A Wright has been approved.

Single storey extension to the rear of 31 Hempitts Road, Walton, by Mr and Mrs Phillips has been approved.
