Portland Road in Street is scheduled to be closed for four days for roadworks this week.

The road is due to be shut from Monday (September 28) to Thursday (October 1), from the junction with Woods Road to the junction with Cemetery Lane.

The closure is set to be in place to enable Bristol Water to carry out new supply works.

Other roadworks scheduled to take place in Street this week include:

From Tuesday (September 29) to Thursday, Bristol Water is due to be undertaking lead replacement works in Green Lane Avenue.

On Thursday, Western Power Distribution is set to be doing reconductoring works in Fielding Road.

The Wales and West Utilities work to lay a new service in Silver Road is scheduled to continue until Tuesday.

Western Power Distribution's work to locate and repair a streetlight cable fault is due to finish on Friday (October 2).

The Somerset Highways work to repair the pavements in Grange Avenue and Woods Batch is set to carry on until Friday.

Finally, the scaffolding permit at 26 High Street is scheduled to run out on Wednesday (September 30), while a month-long one is due to begin on Monday at 30 Glaston Road.
