Street fire crew called as caravans are destroyed in blaze

A fire crew from Street was called to a blaze this morning (May 11) in which two caravans were destroyed.

Just after 8.15am, a fire appliance from Somerton and one from Street were sent to a report of two small derelict caravans on fire in Littleton.

Both caravans were destroyed by the blaze. Fire crews used two hose reel jets, a compressed air foam jet, two drag forks and a thermal image camera to deal with the incident and prevent fire spread.
