Street shoe-maker Clarks has launched a shop for children's products only at Clarks Village so parents can find back-to-school shoes all in one place.

Last month, Clarks announced the opening of its largest store globally at Clarks Village in Street, and with the start of the new school year just around the corner, the shoe brand has transformed its original Clarks unit at the outlet shopping centre into Clarks Kids.

Parents will be able to book a visit using the shop's online booking system. Launched yesterday (August 11), parents can make an appointment in store so that they can avoid the crowds, have their kids' feet measured and fitted and pick up what they need for the new school year.

Clarks Kids is also having longer August opening hours to allow for more time to find back-to-school shoes.

Social distancing measures will be in place across the store, as well as special new measures for fittings.

Alongside the opening, Clarks and Clarks Village are giving kids the chance to win free school shoes for a year.

The competition runs from August 17 until September 6, and the winner will receive four vouchers which will allow them to purchase four new pairs of shoes. For more information, see the following link: https://clarksvillage.co.uk/

Clarks has a Back to School Fit Guarantee, where there is a promise that shoes will remain the right fit for your child from the date of purchase until February 28 2021 - or they'll give you a new pair.

Helen Dunn, Clarks store manager, said: "For those looking to get their kids ready for their summer, or prepare for back to school in September, we have an enormous range of kids shoes.

"We also have dedicated pods, where each child has their own zone while their feet are measured.

"We will tailor our staff's approach and the protective equipment in place, making sure you - and your little ones - are happy."

Centre director of Clarks Village Chris Davis said: "We are really pleased to have Clarks Kids at the original Clarks unit so that parents and children can make the most of our back to store offering at Clarks Village.

"We're also proud to be partnering with them in the competition for free shoes for kids and give them the chance to win free shoes for a year at one the most iconic British brands.

"Going back to school is an important step for kids each year, and with our extended opening hours, online booking system and safety measures in store, parents can rest assured they will be able to get kids ready safely for the new year ahead."

Those looking to buy adult shoes can head to the Clarks flagship outlet store, located near the Homeware Pavilion.

Since reopening in June, Clarks Village has introduced a number of safety measures to keep shoppers safe including hand sanitiser points throughout the centre, and to ensure social distancing can be maintained, floor stickers, announcements and signs to remind guests to keep the required distance apart and a queuing system for entry to the centre.
