Temporary traffic lights are planned for the busy Pipers Inn junction at Ashcott next week.

The multi-way lights are scheduled to be used at the junction where the A39 meets the A361 on Tuesday (July 7) and Wednesday (July 8).

They are due to be used to enable Somerset County Council to install a weather station in the verge.

Other roadworks in the Street area that are set to take place next week include:

Two road closures are scheduled in Ashcott for BT works to take place - Ridgeway on Monday (July 6) and Whitley Lane from Tuesday to Thursday (July 9).

From Wednesday to Friday (July 10), a street light is scheduled to be replaced in Green Lane Avenue, in Street.

Finally, pavement work is due to take place in Grange Avenue, Street, from Wednesday through to July 28.
